Zimbabwe Energy Council (ZEC) is the official and internationally recognized local member committee of the World Energy Council (WEC). The Energy Council is a vehicle for strategic networking and action by senior executives in the private and public sectors who have broad interest in national, continental and global energy issues.
The organisation also seeks to forge a better understanding of energy issues in order to optimally shape the energy sector for the benefit of all Zimbabweans. Zimbabwe Energy Council is a member driven, non-commercial, non-partisan, non-aligned association of all energy players in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe Energy Council strives to play a pivotal role in energy related issues affecting Zimbabwe, by bringing senior influential executives together, with the view of identifying and implementing effective sustainable solutions, providing factual and relevant data and knowledge, strengthening the energy network in Zimbabwe and enhancing awareness of energy issues in Zimbabwe and globally. Zimbabwe Energy Council co-ordinates participation of Zimbabwe in the World Energy Council by nominating representatives to the World Energy Council activities and organising the Zimbabwe delegation to the Triennial WEC Congress, WEC Executive Assembly Meetings and Regional Energy Forums.
